देहरादून, 24 मई। ग्राफिक एरा में ‘अफ्रीका डे’ पर छात्र-छात्राओं ने दिखाई अफ्रीकी संस्कृति और एकता की झलक।
ग्राफिक एरा हिल यूनिवर्सिटी के के० पी० नौटियाल ऑडिटोरियम में अफ्रीका डे के अवसर पर रंगारंग कार्यक्रम का आयोजन किया गया। कार्यक्रम की शुरुआत अफ्रीकी यूनियन के राष्ट्रगान से हुई। कार्यक्रम में ग्राफिक एरा हिल यूनिवर्सिटी के कुलपति प्रो. राकेश कुमार शर्मा ने छात्र-छात्राओं को संबोधित करते हुए कहा कि ग्राफिक एरा सभी संस्कृतियों का सम्मान करता है और विश्व भर के छात्रों को एक परिवार के रूप में देखता है।
कार्यक्रम में अफ्रीकी छात्र-छात्राओं ने पारंपरिक अफ्रीकी गीतों और नृत्य प्रस्तुतियों का शानदार प्रदर्शन किया। रंग-बिरंगे परिधानों में सजे ग्राफिक एरा डीम्ड यूनिवर्सिटी और हिल यूनिवर्सिटी के अफ्रीकी छात्र-छात्राओं ने अपने-अपने देशों की सांस्कृतिक विरासत को जीवंत रूप में प्रस्तुत किया। इसके साथ ही, छात्र-छात्राओं ने पारंपरिक व्यंजन और हस्तशिल्प के सामान के स्टॉल्स भी लगाए, जिसने दर्शकों को अफ्रीकी संस्कृति की विविधता और समृद्धता से रूबरू कराया।
इसके साथ ही फुटबॉल और बास्केटबॉल टूर्नामेंट्स का भी आयोजन किया गया। इनमें गर्ल्स फुटबॉल टूर्नामेंट में कार्लीनिया लोलिया की टीम ने पहला स्थान हासिल किया, वहीं दूसरे स्थान पर जोसेफिन नेडिफा की टीम रही। गर्ल्स बास्केटबॉल की श्रेणी में विनी की टीम ने पहला स्थान पाया। नेडिफा की टीम दूसरे स्थान पर रही। बास्केटबॉल बॉयज में टीम वुल्फ ने पहला स्थान और टीम थंडर ने दूसरा स्थान हासिल किया।
कार्यक्रम का आयोजन ग्राफिक एरा के ऑफिस आफ इंटरनेशनल अफेयर्स ने किया। कार्यक्रम में ग्राफिक एरा डीम्ड यूनिवर्सिटी के प्रो-वाइस चांसलर प्रो० संतोष एस. सराफ, डीन इंटरनेशनल अफेयर्स डॉ० डी. आर. गंगोडकर, शिक्षक-शिक्षिकाएं और छात्र-छात्राएं मौजूद रहे।
Students of Graphic Era showed a glimpse of African culture and unity on ‘Africa Day’.
A colourful programme was organised on the occasion of Africa Day at K.P. Nautiyal Auditorium of Graphic Era Hill University. The programme began with the national anthem of the African Union. Addressing the students at the programme, Vice Chancellor of Graphic Era Hill University Prof. Rakesh Kumar Sharma said that Graphic Era respects all cultures and sees students from all over the world as a family.
In the programme, African students gave a wonderful performance of traditional African songs and dance performances. Dressed in colourful costumes, African students of Graphic Era Deemed University and Hill University presented the cultural heritage of their respective countries in a lively manner. Along with this, the students also set up stalls of traditional cuisine and handicraft items, which introduced the audience to the diversity and richness of African culture.
Along with this, football and basketball tournaments were also organised. In this, Carlinia Lolia’s team secured first place in the Girls Football Tournament, while Josephine Nedifa’s team stood second. Winnie’s team got the first place in the Girls Basketball category. Nedifa’s team stood second. In Basketball Boys, Team Wolf secured the first place, and Team Thunder secured the second place.
The program was organized by Graphic Era’s Office of International Affairs. Graphic Era Deemed University’s Pro-Vice Chancellor Prof. Santosh S. Saraf, Dean International Affairs Dr. D R Gangodkar, teachers and students were present in the program.
